Invoices
Create Professional Invoices for Your Business
Build a tax invoice from products or services, quantities, prices and tax settings you control. Choose an invoice look on your profile, then print or download a PDF. Outstanding-balance reminders stay a different workflow.
Two related jobs
A tax invoice is not a payment reminder
Both live in Umikflow. They answer different questions, and mixing the copy would mislead you.
Create an actual invoice
A tax invoice lists what you sold: items, quantities, unit prices, tax (if you use it), taxable amounts and a total. It names the customer, carries an invoice number, and is meant to be printed or saved as a PDF. Invoice designs belong to this document — they change how that page looks, not the WhatsApp follow-up.
That is the job of this page and of billing and invoicing in the workspace.
Remind a customer about a balance
A payment reminder is built from the client ledger: who the customer is, the fee you agreed, payments recorded, and the outstanding amount. WhatsApp opens with that message filled in; you press send.
Invoice creation
Multiple products or services on one bill
Open a new invoice, pick a customer, then add lines the way you would in a simple items table. Each line is a product or service with quantity and unit price. Tax columns appear when tax is enabled.
- Several items on one invoice, not a single lump-sum line.
- Optional HSN/SAC on each line when you need it.
- Customer name, phone, address and Tax ID from the customer record.
- Your shop name, address, Tax ID, logo and UPI or bank details from your profile.
Invoice designs
Choose a professional invoice look
The workspace currently includes 100 invoice looks. Pick the layout you prefer. The same invoice engine still calculates line items, taxes, and totals.
Each look is a visual layout for the tax invoice: header, parties, item table, totals and frame. Choose one under Look of the bill on your business profile, with an accent colour. New invoices use that design. An issued invoice keeps the layout it was saved with.
The design does not set the tax rate, turn taxes on or off, or choose inclusive versus exclusive pricing. Those remain invoice and profile settings. Names in the picker such as Modern or Retail describe visual style, not a different tax engine, and they are not an official tax format.
These are in-app invoice layouts, not Word, Excel or Canva files to download, and not WhatsApp reminder wording. Available designs may change as the catalog is updated. The examples below are representative; they are not the full set.
Example invoice design: Classic GST (GST & trade). Illustrative data — not a customer bill. Available designs may change. Example invoice design: Kirana shop (Retail). Illustrative data — not a customer bill. Available designs may change. Example invoice design: Professional (Professional). Illustrative data — not a customer bill. Available designs may change. Example invoice design: Nova (Modern). Illustrative data — not a customer bill. Available designs may change. Example invoice design: Monaco (Luxury). Illustrative data — not a customer bill. Tax Settings
Tax-inclusive and Tax-exclusive pricing
You choose the rate and the mode. Umikflow does the arithmetic. It does not tell you which rate applies to your goods or services.
Tax-exclusive
The price you type is taxable. Tax is added on top. At 10% tax on $1,200:
$1,200 + $120 Tax = $1,320
Taxable value stays ₹1,200. The customer pays ₹1,320.
Tax-inclusive
The price you type already contains tax. Umikflow splits taxable value and tax out of that total. At 10% tax on $1,200:
Taxable ≈ $1,090.91 · Tax ≈ $109.09 · Total $1,200
The customer still pays $1,200. Tax is not added a second time.
GST can also be turned off. Then the invoice hides GST columns and Tax ID. Optional round-off to the nearest rupee is a profile setting, not a tax rule. Changing the invoice look does not change any of these tax settings.
What goes on it
Invoice totals, customer details and number
The document is assembled from the invoice you are editing and the business profile you already filled in.

Print and PDF
Print and PDF
Preview, print or download — PDFs are not stored
Approve the page on screen, then print or save a file. Extra lines continue to a second A4 sheet instead of being clipped.
1. Preview
The invoice renders at A4 proportions in the workspace so you can check items, taxes and totals before producing a file.
2. Print
Print uses your browser. What you see on the page is what goes to the printer.
3. Download PDF
Save an A4 PDF to your device, then send it yourself if you need to. Umikflow does not keep a copy of that file.
Payment tracking
Invoices and outstanding balances stay separate
You can use both in one workspace. They do not overwrite each other.
Tax invoices are documents for what you billed, with taxes on the lines. Outstanding balances live on the client file: agreed fee minus recorded payments. Creating or printing a tax invoice does not change dashboard outstanding, and logging a payment does not rewrite an issued invoice.
When money is late, WhatsApp payment reminders quote the ledger figures. If the customer needs the formal bill, send the PDF you downloaded.
Limits
What this invoice maker does not do
Useful edges, stated plainly.
- It does not file tax returns or choose the legally required GST rate for you.
- It is not inventory or stock software, and not a general ledger.
- It does not process card payments or add a pay-now link to the PDF.
- It does not send WhatsApp messages for you. Payment reminders are a separate, review-then-send flow.
- Invoice looks are in-app layouts. They are not Word or Excel files, and not a tax-return format.
